Common Name:	Bog Turtle
Scientific Name:	Glyptemys muhlenbergii
Etymology:
Genus:	Glyptemys - Giypt is Greek meaning "carved", emys is Greek meaning "turtle".
Species:	muhlenbergii - was assigned to honor Reverend Gotthilf Heinrich Ernst Muhlenberg, an 18th century botanist from Pennsylvania who first found this turtle in his millpond.
