Etymology:
Genus:	plethore is Greek meaning "fullness or full of",  odon is Greek for "teeth". Referring to  the number of paravomerine and vomerine teeth.
Species:	punctatus is Latin for "spotted".
Average Length:	3.9 - 6.2 in. (10 - 15.7 cm)
